I am Associate Professor of Ancient Greek Philosophy at Vilnius University teaching in BA and MPhil programmes of Classical Philology and Political Science. I joined my university after completing PhD in Philosophy at the University of Cambridge in 2019. Recently, I was elected to serve as the Head of the Department of Classical Philology.

My research interests lie in theology, political theory, and ancient philosophy. Currently, I am writing on the first principles in classical metaphysics and theology, the interactions between Greek religion and cosmology, and contemporary and classical theories of collective agency. My previous postdoctoral fellowship resulted in an award-winning monograph Traditional and Cosmic Gods in Later Plato and the Early Academy (Cambridge University Press, 2023; The Manfred Lautenschlaeger Award for Theological Promise 2025). As a PI, I have just secured a major national researcher group grant Collective Agency: Towards A Three-Part Philosophical Theory (2025–2028; awarded by the Research Council of Lithuania).

I am passionate advocate of the importance of Philosophy and Classical civilization for each of us. You will regularly find me in Lithuanian media outlets, public schools, NGOs, cultural and business events discussing the ways in which ancient philosophers, historians, and poets can illuminate contemporary problems and future challenges.
